A whole day of bridge at the harbor, with a new dish on the table after each round. There are worse ways to spend a Saturday in November.
Lekker Bridgen will be at the Havenrijk restaurant in Uitgeest on Saturday, November 21st.
And now we know how Stichting Promotie Bridge Uitgeest does it: They don't play cards for hours with a quick sandwich in between. No, after each round the game is briefly interrupted and the next course of the five-course lunch is served.
Bridge construction in the port
Havenrijk is located in the marina of Uitgeest, and that already distinguishes this edition from previous trips.
From 10:30 am to 5:00 pm, games and meals are played. A lunch break follows each round of bridge, allowing ample time to discuss the game just played.
Or about that one card you should have played.
These talks will probably take longer.
A Saturday that fills itself up
That's exactly what I like about the whole Lekker Bridgen concept. You don't have to come up with anything else.
You arrive in the morning, play bridge, have a leisurely lunch, meet other bridge players, and before you know it, it's already five o'clock.
And since this edition is taking place in Havenrijk, you'll also be sitting in one of the most beautiful spots in Uitgeest.

5 things you (almost) always experience
You look out over the harbor and think: I'm sitting here so comfortably . Then the next round begins, and for the moment you see nothing but playing cards.
After a great game, you know exactly why it went so well. After a disastrous game, it was obviously the cards' fault.
There's something to eat after each round. An excellent way to quickly dispel any frustrations during bridge.
You and your partner agree not to discuss the previous game again. This agreement lasts for about three minutes.
By 5:00 PM you've finished a full round of bridge and a five-course lunch. And there's probably still a game that needs discussing on the way home.
