Six rounds of bridge, five courses, and passing the cards to your neighbor halfway through the games. At Breeze & De Kroeg, this almost becomes a mini bridge relay race.
Lekker Bridgen returns to the port of Uitgeest on Saturday, December 12th. This time at BREEZE Uitgeest and De Kroeg Uitgeest.
And here, too, lunch isn't simply squeezed in between bridge games. Something new is served after each round, from bruschetta and shrimp croquettes to game stew.
Play bridge, eat, and move halfway.
The reception begins at 10:15 am with coffee or tea, the first cards will be placed on the table at 10:45 am.
After the first round, bruschetta with tomato salsa and Serrano ham is served. After the second round, prawn croquettes with lime mayonnaise are served, and after the third round, a creamy tomato soup with pesto oil is ready.
And then something happens that you probably wouldn't experience so quickly on a normal bridge crossing: everyone swaps places.
Fortunately, Breeze and De Kroeg are practically next to each other, so you don't have to walk halfway across Uitgeest with your bidding box under your arm.
Wild game stew, something sweet, and bitterballen for dessert.
After the move, three more rounds of play follow.
Meanwhile, venison goulash with mashed potatoes and red cabbage is served, followed by three more delicacies. At 4:00 PM, the meal concludes, and attention turns to De Kroeg for the after-party.

5 things you (almost) always experience
The first round begins very seriously at 10:45 a.m. Twenty minutes later, the conversation is mainly about Serrano ham.
Your bridge partner says: "You should have known that?" An excellent remark, considering you still have five rounds to play together.
Halfway through the route, everyone must change locations. Finally, there's a bridge crossing where participants also work towards their step goal.
After a venison goulash with mashed potatoes, you need to be able to concentrate again at the table. Nobody ever said bridge was easy.
At four o'clock the cards are ready and the bitterballen are waiting at De Kroeg. Even if you arrive last, the afternoon suddenly seems much sunnier again.
