On Sunday, July 27, it's that time again: The Uit Je Bak Festival kicks off in Willem de Rijkepark in Castricum! What once began as a small, quirky initiative has grown into a vibrant summer festival full of music, theater, dance, art, and surprises – completely free and run entirely by volunteers.
Starting at 1:00 PM, the park will be filled with live music from local and regional stars, colorful street theater performances, and art that can be seen and experienced. There's also plenty for younger visitors to enjoy, from creative children's activities to fun hands-on moments.
This year, you can enjoy performances by Selma Peelen , Juul Willems , and the energetic Gijsjaradijsja Band , among others. Whether you're here to dance, stroll, or simply relax with a drink on the lawn, Uit Je Bak is exactly what you need this summer .
And what's more, Castricum train station is within walking distance, and parking is available at Geesterduin.
Food and drinks will be provided, all you need to bring is a good mood (and no alcohol of your own 😉).
