We once sat at a table with Jeremy Bos and a number of glasses for three hours.
That was whisky back then.
And yes, it turned out well.
It was actually really fun. Because Jeremy doesn't just put a few glasses in front of you and then start giving a complicated explanation of what you *absolutely* have to try. Instead, he tells the stories behind them, takes you on this journey, and before you know it, you're looking at your glass with great interest.
On Sunday, October 4th, he will do it again at De Kroeg in Uitgeest.
Only this time there's wine on the table.
Six different ones, in fact.
We are curious.
Six wines and thankfully some food too.
The tasting starts at 2:00 PM, and Jeremy will guide you through six different wines over approximately three hours.
Which ones exactly? We don't know that yet either.
What we do know, however, is that the kitchen at De Kroeg offers suitable snacks to go with it.
Very sensible.
Ultimately, tasting six wines without any other activity seemed a bit too adventurous for a Sunday afternoon.

Absolutely not.
That's exactly what we liked so much about the whisky tasting. You don't need any prior knowledge about casks, grape varieties, vintages, or complicated terms whose meaning nobody really knows.
Sit down.
You will receive a glass.
Jeremy tells his story.
You try.
And perhaps you will suddenly discover why you love one wine and dislike another completely.
The last part is also perfectly fine, by the way.
And back home by 5:00 PM?

The tasting lasts about three hours, but afterwards there is plenty of opportunity to have a drink at De Kroeg.
And after six different wines, that seems like a pleasant time to us.
Or dangerous.
That depends a bit on number six.

Jeremy Bos is no stranger to De Kroeg. He has, among other things, already organized a whisky tasting there – and we were there ourselves.
You don't just taste six wines in a row. The kitchen offers matching appetizers, so the wine pairings have been carefully selected.
The entire tasting lasts about three hours. So there's plenty of time to actually learn something about the wine before the next glass is served.
You absolutely do not need to be a wine expert. On the contrary, especially if your current wine knowledge is limited to "I like this one," there is probably still a lot to discover.
Afterwards, no one needs to put on their coat immediately. You can simply enjoy a drink. As if six wines weren't convivial enough.
