There are certain things that make a stay special. For me, that's a good glass of wine.
I love discovering wines, reading about wineries, and finding out what makes each terroir so special. It's a hobby that keeps growing – and one that I enjoy sharing with our guests.
A warm welcome with a good glass of wine
A bottle of wine will always be waiting for you upon arrival at your Boutique Stay Uitgeest holiday home.
This is on the house, of course – simply as a welcome gesture.
For what could be better than sitting down after a trip, pouring a glass and toasting to the start of the stay?
Wine tasting at your own pace
Since it has become a hobby for me, I have installed a wine refrigerator in my house, filled with various wines that I have carefully selected myself.
Some come from small wineries that I have visited myself, others I discovered through reading or tasting.
Anyone who feels like trying something new can choose a bottle. Each bottle comes with a card containing information about the wine – and if you like it, you can simply pay for it using the small cash box in the refrigerator, labeled "Cash box for your wine break".
In this way, guests can enjoy what I love about wine in a completely relaxed way: discovering, tasting and enjoying it.
For the curious wine lover
The Uitgeest region also has a growing number of great places to taste wine or discover local products, from wine shops in Alkmaar and Haarlem to cozy wine bars by the sea.
Need some tips? I'd be happy to share my favorites with you.
Myrthe's favorite wine moment
For me, wine is not just a drink – it is a moment.
After a day full of excursions, beach walks or small adventures, I love to come home, sit down and pour a glass together.
Just sit down, talk about your day and simply enjoy it.
For me, this is the ultimate wine moment.
My mother also likes wine, just like my husband Bo, and that makes it even funnier.
I enjoy trying new wines and finding out what suits us – but above all, it's about the feeling of being together.
That warm, relaxing moment at the end of the day.
Perhaps you will discover your very own favorite moment with wine here.
