Every September, thousands of monuments in the Netherlands open their doors. This year, the openings are on September 13th and 14th . For two days, you can explore churches, castles, warehouses, courtyards, and unique houses that are normally free to enter. For those who appreciate intimate charm, history, and hidden gems, this is the cultural weekend of the year.
A look behind closed doors
The Heritage Days are part of the European Heritage Days. This year's theme is architecture : the stories buildings tell and how they reveal who we were and are. Guided tours, concerts, walks, and surprising activities will allow you to discover places you wouldn't normally visit.
Perfectly combinable with a stay on the coast or in the city
Our boutique accommodations are located in an area where history, nature, and the city blend together. From Uitgeest, you're just a stone's throw from the sights of Amsterdam , Haarlem , and Alkmaar , as well as the dunes and the sea. Stroll through courtyards during the day or admire the details of an old church. In the evening, return to a cozy place to relax—alone, with children, or your dog.
