Flute, harp and a relaxed Sunday: Duo Reverie on Sunday, April 19, 2026

Coffee is permitted, but please enjoy it in peace and quiet. On Sunday, April 19, 2026, the day begins with flute and harp music by the duo Reverie at the De Zwaan community center. A concert for everyone who wants to start their Sunday in a relaxed and unhurried way with beautiful, naturally flowing music.

This is not a morning to be rushed through, but one to pause for a moment.

Music for relaxation

Duo Reverie is a flute and harp duo consisting of Andreia da Costa and Maria Miguel Mota. Since their founding in 2024, they have explored a broad musical spectrum, ranging from classical works to contemporary compositions. Their interplay is subtle, warm, and soulful – music that invites, not imposes.

Flute and harp complement each other almost naturally. Light, transparent, and precise enough to captivate attention without being intrusive. This music makes you realize that silence is just as important as the next note.

The musicians

Andreia da Costa began her musical career at the age of nine. She studied at Codarts Rotterdam and continued her studies at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where she earned her master's degree. She has gained extensive orchestral experience, including with the National Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands, the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra, and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, and works as a freelance flautist with various Dutch orchestras.

Maria Miguel Mota began playing the harp at the age of six. She earned her bachelor's degree from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and is currently completing her master's degree there. Maria is a versatile musician and actively participates in chamber music projects. She collaborates with, among others, the North Netherlands Orchestra, the Orquestra do Norte in Portugal, and the National Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands.

Together they form the duo Reverie: two musicians who perfectly sense each other and know exactly when to give each other space.

5 personal and somewhat cheeky facts about Duo Reverie

  1. They met in Amsterdam. Two Portuguese musicians, the same city, the same love of chamber music – and suddenly Duo Reverie was born.

  2. Their music isn't suitable for multitasking. Checking emails or thinking about later? You'll probably stop automatically.

  3. The harp sets the pace. Not only musically, but also practically. A rapid build-up of tension is simply impossible.

  4. They play pieces in which silence is not a bad thing. Even when there is no sound for a moment, a lot is happening.

  1. This is the kind of concert where you don't have to do anything. No clapping, no swaying. Just listening is enough.

Practical

For our guests, this is the ideal start to a Sunday: wake up peacefully, enjoy live music and then relax for the rest of the day.
