There are tables that leave you speechless for a moment.

Not because you have to, but because you think: Okay… that looks really, really good.

So, a table like that.

What you can expect here

At Landgoed Marquette, it truly begins the moment you step inside. The castle, the surrounding greenery, that peaceful feeling that immediately puts you at ease.

And then there's this table.

You start with a glass of Cava (as is proper), then everything you could wish for in a High Tea follows – and then some.

Savory snacks, hot dishes, small soups, sandwiches… Everything fresh, everything prepared with care and above all: so much that you don't have to choose.

And then comes the best part.

Scones, macarons, brownies, and many other irresistible treats await you. Meanwhile, your glass will be refilled and your tea will be ready – classic or refreshing with mint and ginger.

Just something personal

Last week we celebrated my mother's birthday. She turned 80.

One of those moments when you pause and think: That's exactly what it's all about.

Sitting together at the table. Not in a hurry, not in passing, but by truly taking time for each other.

And that's perhaps why days like these are so much fun.

Celebrate what you can celebrate.

Who is this for?

For everyone who doesn't want Mother's Day to feel like they "still have something to do".

But simply: sitting there for a while, talking for a while, being together for a while.

And yes, simply good food too.

5 things you didn't expect.

  1. You think: We're just taking a short tea break → and two hours later you're still sitting at the table.

  2. They decide to start slowly → and end up eating three rounds of sweets, “because it would be a shame to leave anything behind”.

  3. You think your mother likes it best → and realize that you might like it even better yourself.

  4. People talk about all sorts of things → and suddenly also about things they wouldn't normally have time for.

  5. You go outside and think: That was exactly right.

Finally

You lay out some gifts. You put them on the table.
