Imagine a late summer evening strolling through Captain Rommel's garden, seeing the warm glow of carved pumpkins everywhere. Night slowly falls, and as candlelight dances through the greenery, the garden fills with music. On Saturday, August 30, 2025, the atmospheric pumpkin concert will take place in Castricum from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM – and it promises to be another magical evening.
What you can expect:
The garden opens at 7:00 PM. Bring your own chair or blanket and find a nice spot among the pumpkins. Starting at 8:00 PM, Groeisaam will be playing – an intimate band with a surprising blend of pop, jazz, film scores, and Irish folk music. Experience guitar, piano, mandolin, melodica, and warm vocals in an atmosphere that feels like a campfire evening in the midst of nature.
All around you, you see people enjoying themselves. They listen in silence, smile at each other, and hum along quietly. No crowds, no hustle and bustle. Just lights, music, and a wonderful atmosphere.
