Want to explore the Uitgeest area on two wheels? Then Wheels & Meer is the right place for you. Situated right on the Uitgeestermeer, this is the place to start your bike ride. Whether you want to go to the beach, cruise through the dunes or are looking for a fun day out with the whole family - here you can rent a suitable bike for every plan.

Cycling to the beach, city or fort

From the harbour you can cycle to the beaches of Heemskerk or Bakkum within half an hour - the route to the Heemskerk beach even runs through the dunes where only cyclists are allowed. A visit to Alkmaar is also recommended, especially on Friday morning when the cheese market is in full swing.

More into history? Then make a stop at Fort aan den Ham , part of the Defence Line of Amsterdam. Or cycle one of the beautiful routes in the region, such as the Pontjesroute around the Alkmaardermeer.
