The band's suitcase.

Place your passport somewhere at the very bottom of your bag.

And then what?

If you land at Schiphol and stay at Boutique Stay in Uitgeest, you fortunately don't have to travel across the Netherlands. You can take the train, a taxi directly to the airport, or rent a car if you'd like to see more of North Holland during your stay.

Which option is most convenient depends primarily on how many suitcases you have – and how much effort you are willing to put in.

Take the train to Uitgeest

For most guests, the train is the easiest and cheapest option.

Schiphol train station is located directly beneath Schiphol Plaza. After baggage claim, simply follow the signs to the train and take the stairs or elevator down one floor.

From there, plan your onward journey to Uitgeest train station. Depending on the time of day and timetable, a transfer may be necessary.

We have deliberately refrained from specifying a fixed travel time or price here. These are subject to change, and maintenance work is regularly carried out on the railway line in the Schiphol area. The NS journey planner shows you the current route, departure time, and ticket price.

And from Uitgeest train station?

Then you're almost there.

If you stay in one of our holiday homes on the Westergeest, you can walk the last section.

If you have a large suitcase – or simply don't feel like walking anywhere after a flight – book a taxi in advance for the last part of your journey.

The latter is particularly relaxing in the evenings.

Directly by taxi from Schiphol

No transfers.

Do not pull a suitcase onto a train.

At Uitgeest train station, there was no discussion about which way to go.

Simply board at Schiphol and get off directly at your holiday home.

For two people, this is of course more expensive than the train, but if you are traveling with several people and luggage, the difference becomes much more interesting.

Take a taxi at Schiphol Airport

There is an official taxi rank directly in front of Schiphol Plaza. Reservations are not required. The airport strongly recommends using the official rank and not accepting offers from drivers inside the terminal.

Uber and Bolt have a separate official pick-up point at Schiphol Airport.

Would you like to book your taxi to Uitgeest in advance?

We would do that ourselves.

Then, upon arrival, you won't have to wonder what your options are, and you'll know that transport to Uitgeest is organized.

For Uitgeest, for example, you can look up the following:

Taxi Black

Taxi Zwart operates in our region and includes Uitgeest as a service area. This is convenient if you wish to arrange transport between Schiphol and Uitgeest in advance.

FastTaxi

SnelEenTaxi is not a taxi company from Uitgeest, but a nationwide booking platform that connects passengers with certified taxi companies. You enter your departure point, destination, number of passengers, amount of luggage, and pick-up time in advance, and then see the fare.

We find that much more helpful than simply stating that a taxi costs "around €80". Just check the actual cost of your journey on the day of your arrival.

Rent a car from Schiphol

Are you staying mainly in Uitgeest and would you like to travel to Amsterdam by train?

In this case, we wouldn't rent a car.

However, if you plan to visit the beach, Alkmaar, Haarlem, the dunes or various places in North Holland during your stay, a rental car can be very practical.

At Schiphol Airport, the car rental counters are located in Schiphol Plaza. Avis/Budget, Enterprise, Europcar, Hertz, and Sixt, among others, have branches there.

And as soon as we arrive in Uitgeest, we have good news:

You can park for free at our holiday homes.

That saves us a typically Dutch problem.

Delay? No problem.

Therefore, you don't need to worry during your flight.

In our holiday homes we use a key safe. This means you don't have to rush to reception before a certain time because your flight is delayed.

You can check in yourself.

It's quite nice when Schiphol decides that your suitcase needs a vacation itself.

And which option would we choose?

Are you traveling alone or as a couple and don't have an excessive amount of luggage? Then take the train.

Are you arriving late, do you have a lot of luggage, or are you traveling with several people? Find out about the cost of a pre-booked taxi.

Do you want to see a lot of North Holland during your holiday and not be dependent on trains and buses? Then a rental car is worth considering.

And what happens once you're in Uitgeest?

Then the trouble will be over.

You haven't booked a holiday home in Uitgeest yet?

Then you have just figured out very thoroughly how to get there.

We could then solve the last problem right away.

At Boutique Stay you stay in one of our holiday homes in Uitgeest, between Amsterdam, Alkmaar and the North Holland coast.

And would you like to see in advance what there is to do in the area during your stay?
