On Sunday afternoon, February 8th, this music will be heard at De Zwaan Cultureel – but in a very special way. The Naked Truth presents an acoustic tribute to Golden Earring. No spotlights, no impressive volume, just music in its purest form.
Back to the early 90s
The name "The Naked Truth" was not chosen by chance. In 1992, Golden Earring themselves gave a legendary acoustic concert at the Grand Café De Kroon in Amsterdam – the Dutch answer to the MTV Unplugged Sessions. This performance was captured on the album "The Naked Truth" – pure, understated, and surprisingly intimate.
This atmosphere forms the basis of this tribute. What once began as an acoustic experiment by the band Earring themselves is revived here with respect for the original and attention to detail.
