That's exactly why our neighbors across the street come back from the Uit Je Bak Festival in Castricum year after year, completely enthralled. For years they've been saying, "You absolutely have to see this!" And honestly... by now we totally understand why.

Uit Je Bak is one of those festivals where you simply don't have to do anything. No strict program, no hustle and bustle, no long queues. Just stroll around, linger wherever the action is, and enjoy everything you encounter.

For one day, Willem-de-Rijke-Park transforms into a cozy meeting place full of music, art, theatre and delicious food.

Stroll around the grounds, listen to a band of your choice, grab a tasty snack from a food truck, or find a spot on the grass. You'll probably keep discovering something that catches your attention.

And perhaps that is precisely the charm of Uit Je Bak. People don't come to stick to a tight schedule, but simply to enjoy a beautiful summer day.
